Given the all clear after a few months post surgery, I paused my research, until a few years later when my friend Sam was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I picked up my research once more in an effort to help her. Watching her go through treatment — seeing the tumour shrink, then return more aggressively, and witnessing the dismissive, even harmful advice she received from oncologists — lit a fire in me. When Sam died a year later, I made a promise to myself: I wouldn’t let her death be in vain, something good will come out of my continued research. I wanted to address the evident shortcomings in established thinking and clinical practice. In the media we are told that good progress is being made, while in the medical literature it is evident that scientists are struggling to make any significant headway - a sign that we've misinterpreted the root cause and driving mechanism.

Over eight years of meticulous research analysing over 3,000 peer-reviewed papers, I uncovered major flaws in the established view and pieced together a new theory — one that, on paper, explains the disease more comprehensively than anything currently available. It’s called the Cell Suppression Theory. It challenges conventional thinking by re-calibrating cancer not as a genetic or even metabolic disease, but as a failed metabolic adaption to fungal infection.

In 2023 I presented the theory at the “Cancer Through Another Lens” event hosted by the cancer charity Yes to Life. It was put to the test before a panel of 10 cancer experts and in front of a live audience of over 200 medical professionals. After six hours of presentations and debate, the audience gave the theory a 7.4/10 confidence score — a strong signal that the science was of the required standard and the theory deserved further exploration.

The reason my work stands out, is that it offers a coherent explanation for why certain treatments may work. I don’t just tell you what might work – I help you understand why. That “why” gives you the power to make informed choices, not blind ones, because those choices are based on an evidence-based framework that translates the science of cancer theory into practical terms. My name is Mark Lintern and I’ve been researching cancer for over 10 years. But I’m no ordinary health advocate, I’m the author of a revolutionary new theory of cancer that’s changing the way people think about the disease and how to treat it. My journey into this work started with my own diagnosis.

At 28, I was told I had a rare soft tissue cancer called Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans. Forced to consider the fragility of life at such an early age I began my research into cancer. What I found was unsettling: for all the claims that cancer is a genetic disease, the evidence didn’t add up.
